In attempt
To cover
Our pain
And
Fill the void
We feel inside....
Stems
The addictive process
From the desire
To feel whole
Rather than
To become whole,
To have control
On our own lives
Rather than
To live the life...
No doubt
Positive is the
The underlying motivation
For addiction,
As the basis is
Universal need
To feel complete
And autonomous...
No doubt
Equally negative is
When the addictions
Become ever
More destructive,
We imagine then
An 'evil' core
At the very center of
Our being,
And have a strong urge
For its destruction
Even at cost of
Our Life....
Legitimate is
Our desire
For wholeness and love
Oozing out from
The center of our being,
Alas ! we don't identify this
With controlling the others
Around us
And realize our
Compulsive search
For romance and love was
Our way to
Gain control on others
May be we call that
Our world..
