Spiderwebs (Nazmaa)

***Spiderwebs***
# # # # #
Maze of spiderwebs
Hung across
The ceiling and walls,
Or the web of
Prickly thoughts
Cluttered in my brain,
Do I belong to the
Sanctimonious tribe of
People who see evil and evil,
Speak good and good
Do bad and bad,
Or to the society of
Pseudo-literary
Noise mongers
Who never find a
Silence for a bit of
Essential reading,
(Oh ! some of them
Forgot how to read)
Or to the band of litterateurs
Who are simply too lazy
They chatter than study detail,
Or to the group of smart players
Who ask the owner to
Remain awake
And advise the thief to
Strike and break,
Or to the love-peners
Who imagine relationships
They never had,
Horrible is the world of
Self-proclaimed truth-speakers and truth-seekers
Whose weapons are coated with white lies,
My head is splitting
I can't withstand
The oily path of
Bluster, fudge and smarminess
But how far ?
If I decide to live in Rome
I have to do as Romans do.
