READYMADE SHAYRI : AN INCOMPLETE SATIRICAL WRITE
Mustaq Ahmad the founder of Mustafa Center Singapore is having a meeting with me to discuss an idea which has cropped up in him mind.
Says Mustaq "I can buy more space at Syed Alwy Road, I am ready to invest adequate funds in the project. I am selling everything to the budget shoppers at my mall but one thing is missing for which there is a rising demand among Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Nepalis etc. spread all over the world. And you see Nazma, I am catering for these people, I don't want that this need of theirs be taken care by somebody else. Please make a brief Project Profile and make a presentation to me. Never mind, I would be glad to pay you your professional fee. Here is a check of $5000 as advance."
He gives me some copies of MY PAPER where the editor for English portion Mr. Yeaw Kai Chai has written a series of articles on the growing love of poetry among the people of Indian Subcontinent even including the immigrants and migrants.
I accept the check and the assignment. And burn oil in making a brief outline of the project. I post it here in order to have your views because you are insiders, I mean, you know much more than me about the poetry and lovers of the poetry.
POETRY STORE : A CONCEPT NOTE
People form India (To include Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal for this project-No political ill will please) are born politicians, poets, medicos and priests. Here we are to exploit their one quality i.e. love for poetry.
As of now, these people are in Travel Hype. they visit Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand due to increase in their incomes, insistence by their well informed spouses and children, Lower Air Asia fares and so on. ( I am suppressing the Bangkok affair, as this is not directly relevant to POETRY.) A suitable outlet can be added with existing Mustafa Shopping Mall which sells everything Readymade.
The Name of Outlet shall be : READYMADE SHAYARI ( On the line of Readymade Garments, Instant Food Items, Readymade Maslas etc.) The scope can be extended later to Novels, Stories, Dramas etc.
SPACE : About 10,000 Sq meters. The stock will be kept by way of hard copies duly filed in respective files. keeping the backup in DVDs and hard discs is advisable.
MANPOWER : Man and Women of Indian origin specially the people who wanted to become poets but could not become. The database of various communities of Orkut can be utilized.
SOURCE OF MATERIAL AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT :
1. The posted poems at all the communities. (You have to fix up with owner or moderators where the forums are not open to non-members or become members--we would tell you the way out at final stage)
2. Blogs.(The Modus Operandi will be disclosed at final stage)
3. Local magazine and News papers.( Old editions-----arrangements with raddiwala/kabadis suggested.)
4. Rejected poems from magazines and newspapers---arrangements will be made with the dispatch department clerical or category 'D" staff who would send the stuff to the proposed outlet.
5. Old published books of Poetry. Specially the collections of the poets who could not get name and fame.(Raddiwalas, kabadis, old libraries, to depute people for home collection--Miss Chamkos and Mr. Harpic type of incumbents shall be hired.)
6. Still the mind is working, more will be added.
BUSINESS PART :
The outlet will deal in following categories of poems, kavitas, nazms, gazals etc.
I) Saalgirah : (a) Happy NeW Year (b) Happy Anniversary (c) Happy Birthday-with specialization in Golden, Silver, Diamond etc. jubilees.
II) Ishq : (a) Proposing Poetry-how to communicate the feelings. (b) Supposing poetry--description of lover/beloved both spiritual and physical-in spiritual you have to praise his/her nature, thinking, knowledge etc, in physical you have to describe his/her bodyparts with metaphors- there will be separate sub titles : Face Poetry, Eyes Poetry, Lips Poetry, Neck Poetry, Hair Poetry and so on [:)](c) Distance Poetry : Separation, Virah, Judai, Break off etc. (d) Jab We Met Types : Meet Up,Wasl, Milan, Patch up etc.
III) Social : (1) Women (2) Workers (3) Farmers (4) Child Expolit- Child labor---Child Abuse (5) Corruption (6) Dowry (7) Literacy & Education (8) Haves-Havenots (9) Folk (10) Sychofancy,Chamchagiri Poems.
IV) Spiritual : (1) Conformist : Ved, Puraan, Kuraan, Bible etc based, Naats, Bhajans, Prayers, Poetic Gospels. (2) Revolutionary : J. Krishnamurty, Osho, Maa Anandmurti, Sadguru types (3) Unclear Verses : Everone claims-I understood-Wah but really even th writer doesnot understand.(4) Nature : Poems on trees, leaves, rivers, oceans, sky, stars, sun, moon, water, fire etc.
V) Children : (1) Nursery rhymes (2) Ishap, Panchtantra, Tintin, Spiderman, Ironman etc types.

And the crackers burst, sleep disturbed the dream was over....this was a weekend night.....may be my office work and commmunity activities got mixed up.
