वंचित 
स्वयं को 
पनपाने सम्बन्ध 
लम्बे पेड़ों से,
जानती हूँ मैं 
यह तथ्य कि 
नहीं है छाया 
पास उनके
जगती में 
बाँटने के लिए...

मेरे मित्र,
खोजूँ कहाँ 
अब 
वृक्ष ऐसे 
जो देते हों 
अनुदान छाँव का 
समष्टि को, 
हो गए हैं
शिकार 
वो तो
तस्करों के 
लोभ के...

औढ़े हुए 
नीले आकाश को 
मस्तक पर,
हो गयी हूँ आदी 
मैं चलने की
तपते सूरज तले,
लिए हुए 
सुखद मुस्कान 
चेहरे पर
और 
बरसाते हुए
स्वयं से 
मलय सम शीतलता 
स्नेह की...
